概要 | Contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) using perflubutane microbubbles (SonazoidTM) which is the second generation ultrasound contrast agent, is well known as available diagnostic method in liver disease.
From 2007, we have been applying CEUS of the breast using Sonazoid as a clinical trial. This time, we show 3 available cases in CEUS. 1. The comparison between CEUS and contrast enhanced CT or contrast enhanced MRI, in the diagnosis precision of the tumor. In effect measurement of the neoadjuvant chemotherapy and the diagnosis of the local recurrence, CEUS had the cases that were more useful than contrast enhanced CT or contrast enhanced MRI. 2. The comparison between B mode ultrasound and CEUS, in observation of the tumor internal structure and/or of the range of the tumor invasion. In CEUS, even the tumor which the internal echo attenuated by the B mode ultrasound such as the scirrhous carcinoma was able to observe internal structure and neighboring feature. Also, the diagnosis was easy by a difference of the internal structure in the tumor which racked its brains about discrimination with the fibroadenoma. 3. The possibility of improving the precision to estimate the histological character of the tumor by CEUS before the operation. A difference was found in CEUS in the time when the contrast agent flowed in by the difference of the histological character of the tumor. By comparing the time lag when the contrast agent flowed in, precision to estimate the histological character of the tumor by the ultrasound seemed to be improved. |
