概要	Seven cases with diabetic polyneuropathy accompanied by multifocal conduction abnormalities in the upper limbs were described. The cases were out of 45 unselected diabetics under the longterm treatment with insulin. The conduction abnormalities were demonstrated at the carpal tunnel in the median nerve and across the cubital fossa in the ulnar nerve simultaneously. All of them showed paraesthesiae and blunting of the sensation in the feet. The deep reflexes were almost lost in the lower extremities. However, all cases revealed only mild or no sensory symptoms in the upper limb, in spite of the electrophysiological evidence for the nerve entrapment. Possible pathophysiological backgrounds for this peculiar presentation are discussed.
