概要	The water ext. of Juglans mandshurica fruit has been shown to strongly inhibit pancreatic lipase in vitro in a dose-dependent manner. The ext. was obsd. to inhibit the normal elevation in the level of plasma triacylglycerol in rats 2-4 h after oral administration of a lipid emulsion. Fourteen compds. isolated from J. mandshurica fruit were evaluated for their inhibitory activity against pancreatic lipase. Of these, 1,4,8-trihydroxynaphthalene-1-O-.beta.-D-[6'-O-(3'',4'',5''-trihydroxybenzoyl)]glucopyranoside showed the strongest inhibitory activity.
